Isn't the point here that Lauaki did actually prove to be a big distraction for Rovers during the game? Singling a player out for rough treatment by definition means you take that energy away from other parts of your game. So perhaps when Newton says he "refuses to apologise" for these rather transparent tactics, it's the Rovers fans he should be apologising to as they played a part in Hull's victory.
yes he did, and if he keeps jumping up fists flying then hell keep getting illegily hit, lets face it, the guy is an animal, teams are gonna do whatever they have to do to get the better of him, and if that means play for a reaction then thats what they will do, what team wouldnt?
