Do you not think £1 from all tickets purchased would have been a better gesture from the club than adding it to the ticket price?
From the Hull FC website:
All other tickets will be subject to a £1 increase for this fixture only. This extra £1 will be donated to the clubs charity of the year Children In Need. This fantastic charity will reinvest this donation back into our local community.
Note "The clubs charity of the year," not "the fans of Hull FC and Hull KR's charity of the year".
I'm not saying I have a problem with paying an extra £1 for charity, I just think it's a bit strange to add to the price of a ticket instead of cut into their own revenue.
