I havn't had all the optimism beaten out of me yet and still live in hope that Agar can turn it around and prove that he is a good coach afterall (although I severely doubt he will). We need not only a scraped win but a commanding performance so that the team can regain a little bit of confidence that must be shot after what has been going on recently.

This is a really difficult one to predict. After the good start Quins have had, will their hammering last week galvanise them to get back to those high standards or will it be the start of a collapse? We'll definitely play better than we did last week and in a way that's our biggest problem, we know the players can turn it on when they really have to. Increased effort from our players might not be enough though, Quins away is historically a bogie game for us. I still think we'll win 24-12, although I make no secret of hoping that we get beat and another nail gets hammered into Agar's coffin.

I would hope his loan agreement stipulates that he can't play against us.

You strike me as a man who doesn't like to be wrong, so getting it so wrong about Agar must be really getting to you. It's an affliction that Withernsea Zebra and Staffs FC both suffer from too, so at least you're not alone

Could you please provide evidence of me being wrong about Agar? Maybe you could link to a post I've made claiming we will win or even come close to winning with Agar in charge? Or maybe somewhere that I've posted that Agar is a tactical genius?

I'll save you the trouble, you won't. What you will find, however, is an argument that states that maybe not [iall[/i Hull FC's problems are necessarily Agars doing. If that doesn't conform to your "everything including Libya" is Agar's fault mantra, then I apologise.

How many loan agreements do you know of that contain any such stipulation? I'm not even sure it would be within the rules TBH.

In RL I don't know tbh it's not something I've ever thought about before. In football I know it's actually against the rules for a player to play against his parent club, which makes perfect sense.

I must admit, that made me chuckle a bit.

I can't recall a single instance of a loan player being unable to play against his own club in RL. I haven't checked the Op Rules so I don't know whether this is actually formalised there or just 'tradition'.

They allow them to put that clause in in football, not sure they do in league, as it offers an advantage to the parent club in that their player can strengthen the team he is loaned to against all the others in the comp bar them. I hope Burnett has a stormer as I think he is a decent player and a nice lad the few times I have met him and has suffered in his development through our plethora of second rows and being at the mercy of Agar.
