Precisely - we've no cover at all in the backs at the moment. I don't like Mathers but the question is whether it's better to have him available to step in, or to risk either splitting up the halves again or playing Manu in the centres should one of the backs get injured.

It's not. We're not in for a replacement currently according to Agar, who says there's no truth in it whatsoever - " a made-up rumour".

Richard Agar said tonight "Richie Mathers thats news to me, its just another rumour that someone has started" and we all know who that is!

He went on to say that he is waiting to hear from Crocker before he does anything and that Motu will be back in a few weeks time.
