From a Warrington supporters point of view............ you were well worth your 16 - 6 lead and at 18 - 18 early in the 2nd half either team could have gone on and won it.

The crucial try was Lee Briers to make it 24 - 18, soon after Manu got sin binned and we scored 2 tries when he was off to make it 36 - 18 and game over. You were trying to slow the ruck down & got heavily penalised for it. When the score were close and the game was up for grabs, on at least 2 occasions we were starting a set of six on our own line and we were awarded penalties which enabled us to move to the half way line, this was daft play by Hull because on each occasion we were on the back foot.

Not as many Hull fans as usual made the trip over but the ones that did stayed to the very end and clapped their team off. I think you are a definite for the play offs & showed enough to give your fans more than hope.

fatbelly what a breath of fresh air you are,at last someone who saw the game exactly as it was, instead of fans like fc baldy ranting about his favourite scapegoat yet again.fc boring, sorry baldy, change the record, you have a very unhealthy fixation with turner because you seem to blame him for every loss we haver.Theres 13 players on that side, most of whom were lettin warrington walk right through them yet you only notice one!

Errr a couple of posters agreed with me about Turners defence but you seem blinkerd to that.Yes there was too many penaltys and Pitts should heve done better with Briers as should Russell when Atkins ran through and there is 17 players with the subs, who were, also far from blameless so you change the record.Tickle was off his game,Manu non exsistant, westerman a damn good 1st half but a walking penalty machine..only real threat was Briscoe coming infield....hows that.

All those that were there (me included) no we lost that game due to ill discipline, yes Thaler did over penalise but our players have to learn, it is now 3 maybe 4 games were our discipline has lost us the game. Warrington dont need help making easy metres. IMO PG should have a word with Ian Smith and find out why we are on the back end of these heavy penalty count, most clubs do this.
Also i wasnt impressed with Trent Waterhouse going to Thaler and telling him to put one of our players in the bin after another conceeded penalty (wasnt Manu one)
I understand were FC Baldy is coming from regarding Turner, ever since he basically turned down the contract offer his head hasnt been on the game, Crooks has been left high and dry with him trying to do a 'Yeamo' flying out line but he misses 9/10 which isnt good enough. I would play Yeaman with Crooks and reluctantly put Turner with Briscoe, we dont have many other options to just drop Turner.

Tuner was making a tackle and Crooks came in and left the wing totally exposed and they scored of that...so Humberside where right Turner was not to blame, 2,27 mins :?

Here's a screenshot. Turner is making the tackle. Crooks has not come in.

Image

The entire movement starts at 2.15 on the video. Warrington player breaks the first tackle and is through the line. Turner comes across and makes the tackle on him. No problem with that, the tackle needed to be made. Westerman may have been able to make it just after, but I understand why Turner made it.
Crooks did not come across. Crooks stayed in position.
Turner's tackle was poor and the Warrington player got the offload away. This left Crooks exposed to a 4 on 1 situation.

I think you've been a bit harsh on Crooks.

They score on the wing and Crooks is not there to cover, now I am not having a go at Crooks he is a good player and has loads of potential, however Turner can hardly be blamed for shooting out of the line/going missing when he was clearly making a tackle in position.

For the record I don't think either Turner or Manu have been on form for a few weeks but if is unfair to blame Turner for things he never even did.

The ball isn't played from that tackle. It was a poor tackle and the player offloads it, leaving Crooks in a 4 on 1.

Here's another clip from that video. Turner shoots out the line and makes a poor tackle. Player offloads, we're exposed, Warrington score (but other players in line could have made a better effort on Atkins).

I amended not sure why I put that, I will reiterate I am not having a dig or being harsh on Crooks, he is 18 yrs old and doing a grand job, however it appears Turner gets the blame for things which he is not always at fault for, his defense is no where near as bad as some would have us all believe on here, he makes a good amount of tackles and misses very few.
