I thought wCalderwood was ok..the dropped ball should have been taken but after that he did nothing wrong, didnt do nothing startling either...shouldnt have been in that posistion thanks to the daft penaltys we was giving away.

You said a winger should be sound,Calderwood was barring a mistake which should have ben taken...Gardner wasnt sound at all

Hows that for you?

BTW...Would you be having the same conversation if Fox had dropped it.

Not to mention being the only one to chase back and stop Billy Slater scoring a certain try.
Iam lucky i can remember when we used to beat the Aussies with real forwards like Dennis Hartley,Mal Reilly,Jimmy Thompson and Johnnie Ward. These kids were frightened of no one,so they were half way there when it came to winning.Real muck and nettles players who would carry the ball through a minefield if you asked them to.Half backs like Millward,Hardisty and Hepworth who could tackle like forwards and directed the players round the pitch.Look at today's pack,Sinfield-ordinary at International level,Morley and Peacock too old,Wilkin more interested in promoting himself and showing the world the contents of his fridge,Gareth Ellis pretty anonymous.I am sick of hearing for the last thirty years that we are catching up,we are not and we never will unless we are prepared to bite the bullet and go back to playing with home grown players in super league.A certain Aussie player said he could not play another year in the N.R.L. and he was thinking of retiring because of the physical aspect of there game but he can play in the super league for a massive contract even though he is at the end of his career. All we are is a pension fund for Aussies who treat our game with contempt but don,t mind taking big bucks for one final pay day.

Where you said Slaters dropped ball cost the Aussies, it was in the 46th minute and we never scored from it, thats one

Telegraph match report "Only try-scorer James Roby, Mark Calderwood and James Graham emerged with any real credit." That's him in our top 3 then according to an independent journalist.

Calderwood I thought did do ok for the rest of the game, Im not denying that but when it came down to him making a bread and butter catch he failed miserably when we needed him most.

Like I first said it's ok making a couple of tackles from square marker or a couple of scoots but you need the player to be solid in the area he plays.

Not on here, maybe on our board.
