Yeah, it shows how tough it is to beat top of sl after winning the challenge cup.
We know how difficult it is to back up after winning challenge Cup finals having lost both of our games in 2016 & 2017 after winning the Cup, but Catalans could only beat what's in front of them. Leigh did well for most of the game but were always going to run out of gas.

Apart from an on/off Satae we dont have an attacking threat from any of our forwards
Savelio does, but he is leaving. As mentioned above, seems Smith is trying to address it by the type of forward signings.
I like Cator as a defensive player and I'd have him as a squad player, but I'd be looking at ways of putting a more attacking player at 13 next year, apart from Wakey, id say we have the worst attacking LF in the league, maybe if we sign more attacking forwards, we can carry a LF that is there to defend, but I'd like to see someone who makes breaks and acts a link up player like other LF's do. He has been like this since he signed and hoped he would develope some kind of threat with the ball, but I'm yet to see it.

Tend to agree with your points Dave, though I do wonder if it's been in the main down to having to have a LF play that way due to the inadequacies in the forwards over the past few seasons?

Maybe, just watched Smith yesterday and it made me think about Cator, I couldn't think of a try or a assist he had made, then I couldn't think of a line break, so looked at his stats. Pretty poor attacking wise in 19 games
no tryst no assists 1 Clean break 7 tackle busts (Smith made 11 yesterday) 4 offloads.
Then looked at other LF's, Smithies, Garcia, Knowles, Asiata, Partington, Smith, Westermann, Minchella, Pitts, Yates and Crowther.
How many of these is Cator better than, you would maybe have him over Crowther and Pitts, but thats about it.

would say its more to do with us not actually having a loose forward at the club ready for first team football. Cator,Fash,Lane, and Houghton have all been used there to no effect. Its a position no one seems to think about anymore but where we are sadly lacking. Westerman for all his faults could still do a job for us at 13
