To be fair, the first, long post raises some pertinent points, that are now beginning to be supported by the science.
The Government have deliberately overhyped this virus in order to keep people inside and put fear into ones mind so that now we have workers who are afraid to return to normal working life and no doubt will create once again the rise of disruptive Union demands.
If the UK wasnt such an unhealthy nation with so many overweight people then the death toll from this virus would have been a lot lower so you have to wonder whether it would have been better letting people out into the fresh air and exercising a lot more rather than sitting at home putting on even more weight from eating plus the additional comfort eating.
Whilst we all sympathise with families who have lost loved ones 91% of deaths in the UK from this virus were people with underlying health problems and 42% from Care homes where you can expect a high death rate irrespective of any virus.
I aslo think you have to put into perspective the numbers.
The Uk normally has about 500,000/600,000 deaths annually.Given 40,000 have died from Corona related symptoms in 3 months realistically its not a lot from a nation of over 60 million.
40,000 is the stadium capacity more or less of Elland rd Leeds which gives a better idea of the numbers.
The strategy of the Government should now be Getting people back to work, Children back to school and get the confidence back into the nation to not be afraid to sit near people or shake someones hand.By all means wash your hands but you should be doing that regularly anyway.
There is risk in everything you do in life but we cant go on thinking that if we dont wear a mask or sit/stand two meters away from people we are going to catch Corona virus.
The best thing you can do for yourself is eat healthily,take plenty of excercise in the fresh air and if you are overweight lose some weight.
Need some real leadersdership now from Boris instead of making it up as we go along.
The predicted crisis in the NHS never materialised and the nightingale hospitals hardly used so lets get the country moving again and put the confidence back into the public otherwise we will become a nation of unemployed mask wearing zombies.
