In hindsight probably best that he stayed the extra few weeks otherwise we could have ended up with a Hetherington choice and stitched up for 3 years with McNamara. Funny how things turn out. Agreed....apparently the players were gutted, hopefully it can all end well and Agar and the boys will end this season with a bang!

yip,he was a man of his word,anyway its irrelevant now hes going,hope him and the lads finish the season with a bang,dont see why they cant at least win a few playoff games.

Rule said on Look North that "there was no acrimony with the decision" which suggests to me that it wasnt strictly speaking a mutual decision.

I'm abroad at the moment so only just seen this, absolutely fantastic news!!! I always said it was never in any doubt once AP arrived and he's come through in style. Finally, the last remaining tumour of the Hetherington 'cancer' that Bomber described all those years ago has been removed, and how fitting it is that he is back at the club to oversee it. I haven't read all this thread yet, but no doubt there'll be some thanking Agar for his 'efforts' or not wanting to take pleasure in him losing his job, but the fact is that Agar was in a well-paid position of responsibility and he failed to perform despite getting many more chances than he deserved, there should be no sympathy. During Agar's time in charge he oversaw our regression from recent Challenge Cup winners and Grand Finalists to (on the pitch) Hull's second SL team, he produced some of the most mind-numbing and error strewn rugby seen at the club in years, stifled the development of far more players than he helped, knocked several thousand off the average attendance, pioneered new ways of murdering the English language and plumbed new depths in snivelling excuses. Agar's comment that he leaves 'proud of the culture he has created' only serves to demonstrate how deeply deluded and inept he is. It's debatable whether RA is FC's worst ever coach, but he's certainly in the bottom three, and if Wakey are foolish enough to give him another job then his will surely become biggest fraud of a coaching career in SL history. Let's just hope AP deals with the rest of the sorry excuse for a coaching staff in the same way he's dealt with Agar. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Onwards and upwards, Come On You ULLLLLAAA!!!
