could have been a very different game if Ablett had been sent for ten as he should have been, of course we've improved, amazes me, people were saying "give Agar time, it's not his squad" and yet the very same people are questioning wether we've improved under Gentle when it's clear to see we have.

any CONFIRMATION of the Salford k/o yet?
thinkthat was one of the worst refereed games i have ever watched. thought you were going well. when you were 12 points down you looked to me the better team but at one point the penalty count was 10 -2 in leeds favour and they wre getting every decision that he could possibly give them. its about time they bit the bullet in england and got some decent aussie refs in for a couple of seasons to learn them the game. on the plus side , thought mcgoldrick had a good game.

Just frustrated that we can't even do the simple things correctly.
It shouldn't be difficult for a quick play the ball on the last and to make sure our kicker is deep enough to get the ball adequately downfield.

I agree with that but our team were dead on their feet and couldn't cope with the pace. The penalty count killed us and Leeds took advantage of all the tackling we had to do. So that's why we struggled for the qptb and organising our attacking structure.
All my opinion of course add to that Manu, Radford, heremaia, watts and mcgoldrick were all blowing out their as s es.

This discussion had nothing whatsover to do with my own interpretations on what is written in the media, the fact is statements were coming out of the club claiming top 4 finish only weeks ago and my point is this would raise the expectations of a lot of fans who read the articles. I am still adamant that McRae contradicts himself just because you disagreed and had a different interpretation to me which I respect did not make me change my mind :D

Well damn right the club were talking about top 4 before, what would you have them say 'this is as good as it's gonna get this year'?

This is exactly about the way you process articles and statements. Consistently you pick up on what the club say they are aiming for and then hold it up as a minimum requirement so that you can then vilify them for not delivering what they say.

And it doesn't matter how you say you interpret McRae's comments, they aren't contradictory. Contradiction means 2 statements that directly oppose each other in meaning, McRae's did no such thing.

I don't think you'll get a better chance of beating Leeds, Sinfield apart they were awful. Error after error they were giving Hull every chance to get into the game 2nd half. You certainly had enough go forward to hurt them, unfortunately your just lacking that player who can unlock a defence,

You say the ref was terrible but as with every club including leeds you only seem to have a bad ref when your team loses!!

They dont seem quite as bad if you watch them on TV? coincidence?

I watched on TV last night and he was terrible, but then most are. More and more, refs seems to favour one team for big chunks of the game meaning teams get on top

I am not vilifying them at all I am responding to the fact making claims several weeks ago claiming top 4 finish will raise fans expectations, simple really.

McRae did an article in the media re Manu and stated the club wanted a decision, a matter of weeks later re Turner & Whiting (I believe) he claimed the club understood that the players needed time to make a decision, that is a contradiction.

Can anybody remember a game which hull fc lost and it wasn't the referees fault ? I can recall a play off match when hull played bradford and the referee sent steven kearney off after about 6mins for 3 head high tackles and was blamed for the loss. The score was 71-0. By the way I do agree the referee heavily favoured leeds last night with some poor decisions.!
