I believe so too, I don't buy the 'taking time to assess things' line - Agar's record over the last four years is there for all to see. The most likely reason I can think of for the delay in showing him the door is that, technically, the season might not be over yet, and AP believes it is wrong to sack a coach when we've theoretically still got a chance of winning something.

2 i was told,but a wire fan of mine said that they were prepared to let him leave if the fee was right.

Check the squad list on their board. He's contracted until 2015. It would have to be a big fee.

I hope that you are right. My concern is what if, and I know it is a big, 'what if, Hull finished eighth and somehow managed a 'run' in the plays-offs. Half of me would be happy but then I would have to ask myself, what would be the re-action of Adam Pearson towards the coach and his tenure should this event take place?

If you believe that the replacement is already being lined up then it doesn't matter even if Agar does manage a playoff run. Noble was sacked moments after being a hair's breadth away from getting to a grand final, hopefully AP has the same level of conviction as Leneghan.
