To start with, the better team won, but the outcome hinged on 2 reffing decisions. 1/ Whiting's disallowed try when it was 24-18. Judging by the travelling fans reaction and especially Whitings, it was a try. 2/ The sin-binning ( team were already on a warning) led to us scoring 12 points and effectively game over. Until that point, it was a good even hard-fought game. Wire were flattered by the score-line.
The downside for Hull were lack of size/action in the pack, and the number of stupid penalties you gave away.
On the plus-side was the performance of the fb. Not seen him before, was very impressed and imo Hull mom. And the numbers of travelling support which easily beat KR's pathetic turnout earlier in the season....
Apart from the dodgy penalty, Hull were nilled for 61 mins, did you go home after 20 mins ??

FWIW. I ,and many others far more knowledgeable than myself, believe that Mr Allem is a genuine philanthropist and is serious about leaving a sporting legacy in this city. If that legacy is a wealthy and massively successful Rovers ,playing at a developed and multi purpose Craven Park ,which i am reliably informed is his plan ,then i certainly wont be complaining.
Just a thought , but when the pharoahs buy Rovers ,Thus making them the wealthiest club in ESL, what would Norma Nescafe find to talk about ?.
I've already said it. Your recruitment for 2013 will see you on a massive upward squad trajectory that we can only stand and wonder at, and that we will be in your shadow for the next decade. Where is the lunacy in that? The Allams have already put a million in, yet according to Hudgell in the FT you use the HMRC as an overdraft facility. Of course the Allams will take Rovers on, they'll want that soft loan back.
Don't be ridiculous, Thaler absolutely killed us,I don't mind any Ref giving penalties, but there are two sides and he knocked the stuffing out of us,we were knackered in the last 20mins with the defending we had to do.
On another note,we desperately need another two props to complement Lynch and Moa,soon as these two go off were on the back foot in defence and aren't strong enough in attack to get over the advantage line.
Can't knock the players for effort today, all put a shift in.

Good summary. 16-9 penalty count against a team like Wire is difficult to overcome. Felt there were a few high shots by Wire that went unpenalised too. Thought Moa and Lynch were both very good today.
