Bradford lost to fev today.



Still fancy them to beat us. We'll be sending out a young team and they'll have played Fax and Fev by the time next Sunday rolls round. I'm won't be going but I'm banking in Bradford uploading the full game on YouTube a day or 2 after

I expect a young side to get a hard game from Bradford. Tempted to go along just cos it's been ages since I was last at Odsall. We've got a big 1st team this year so we can pick a decent looking side. Something like this.

Can't see Damel being fit

Litten is 3rd choice fullback but 4th choice centre. I think we will see more of him out wide than at the back this year. We are a bit light at centre. We havent produced one in ages.



What's up with Damel? I thought I read he was gonna play.

I didn't think they would play him first game due his injury last year - I didn't think he had started pre season at the same time as the rest, but could be wrong

Wouldn't mind Litten playing half a game at full back and half on wing.

Wonder who will play FB, can't see us risking Hoy or Walker.



Moy has a great skillset, but is no where near physically ready for first team (he often struggled with that in reserves and academy), but I suppose it might be worth a try.

Looks like Moy is the next cab off the rank. Unless Smith opts for Tindall/Barron/Mcintosh to start the game.

Other wildcard option is playing Charles at FB, has played a few games there for the Academy.



Maybe half each, as have a few options at 6/7, with Smith (who I'd give some time at halfback in pre season), Medforth and Harman.

Rare bit of good news for the game, looking like the BBC have beaten Channel4 and will screen 12 games on Saturday teatime on BBC2 which should mean better viewing figures, used to like that timeslot in the 00s

Great news regarding the BBC, prefer the idea of a 5:30pm KO rather than 12:30.

In a period were the game is at a crossroads this is quite a positive bit of news in that the Sport has been able to attract broadcasters to bid for the rights for coverage as opposed to having to take what is being offered.



Whilst it's disappointing to lose CH4's coverage which I thought the way the produced their coverage was a breath of fresh air compared to stale SKY & BBC efforts, its still a positive. Hopefully the BBC will take some pointers or even recruit some of the CH4 staff involved. Hope Chappers will still be the main anchor for the coverage and that it may lead to some magazine type show during the week in conjunction with an improved SL show.

A constant 5:30pm Saturday slot is good for viewers too, I found by the end I was missing a lot of channel 4s games as the days/kickoff times changed around a lot... just hope it's not Nobby and Davies commentating! Apparently they're showing Wigan's WCC game and a couple from the playoffs too which again is great exposure for the game

Wigan have already sold 20k for the WCC so it should look good for the cameras. Yes it's in effect a pre season friendly for Penrith but 'England Vs Australia' is still a big pull for viewers.

Your casual viewer on the BBC doesn't need to know it's a pre season friendly though, if they watch it and Wigan win it, it's a good way to hook new viewers in before the super League season starts

If they see it as a friendly they wouldn't celebrate the try that took it to golden point like they did



Or play a pretty much full strength team

More games on normal TV the better as much bigger viewing numbers than sky



Only thing is RFL need to start saying to bbc/channel 4 we need hard cash for the product instead of giving it away for peanuts

Yes and I think Saints beating them at home will have hurt. But we all know the game is scheduled after SL season has started but before the NRL has begun to help level the scores up.

Super league only starts 2 weeks by the WCC
