I put on the Cas game thread that I think the biggest factor in how Satae plays is how successful teams have been at targeting him in defence. His marker tackles are crazily high and it's purely down to teams wanting to get him making repeated tackles to limit his impact in the next set. It's no coincidence his performances have improved since he started coming off the bench and TS is getting it right when he gets him onto the field depending on the flow of the game.

Im aware he made the move to centre yes but thought he looked decent in the back row, has all the attributes too. I mean its good for us to have options i guess isn't it? If we look at next years potential 2nd rows plus back up options, its very exciting..

Severs and Staveley will be back ups with Jebson ahead of Cam Scott, Cam Scott and Sutcliffe would be my starters in the centre. Got told today Tag and Danny have signed new deals.

Modern day game the wingers, fullback generally take two drives a set so that leaves three drives from five forwards so I agree on think it does make him more effective.

Houghton was meant to be deciding in August. I actually thought when he came off injured on Saturday, that he might think to retire - as his fitness is insane really, doesn't miss many games, so to get an injury it might have started to turn his mind towards stopping before he starts to pick up more

Would you change the captain for next season then?

Taylor is a no brainer to retain. Don't mind Houghton if it's on reduced games/minutes

Definitely keep Taylor for another year, same with Houghton if the deal is right and takes more of a role as a squad player rather than starting hooker.

I also heard Tag is retiring and so is Danny so think its heads or tails lol, yes I'd change my captain I'd have Ligi or Tag or outsider Liam Sutcliffe, Carlos body declined last 2/3 years misses too many games for me.

I know he has a good business to fall back on after retirement but at 32 would it not be a little early to retire for Tag? I would certainly give him a year deal

IMO keep Tag, Mint and Dre plus hopefully 4 overseas (Hooker, Prop, Scrum Half and 2nd Rower), Ashworth, Tindall, Bentley plus one more winger/centre for me
