The article about TV rights says sky have offered a similar amount again, which is disappointing given they cut it from the previous TV deal, the competition between sky, TNT and DAZN can only be a good thing for the sport though! Good work from IMG in making it happen

The more interested parties there are the better for the sport in hopefully improving the money paid for TV rights but also improving the sports profile.

SKY for too long have had the sport by the balls and too much of their own way in terms of the amounts offered not helped by the ineptitude of the RFL not being capable of selling the sport well.

The product that SKY give the viewers is pretty poor by their own standards when compared to other sports they show with very little other than the live game to offer or entertain viewers. Ch4 have outdone SKY and done a far better job in such a very short space of time with their coverage.

Would agree and think in terms of current recruitment for 2024 we need players taking up a quota spot that are specialists in their respective positions not utility players.

Calling it pretty poor is generous.

There are some incredible player stories but you never hear anything about them, the commentators and pundits are viewed as the ‘personalities’ and faces of the game.

Someone mentioned Havili as a possibility for us ,while I was partaking of a pint, in the Hop Pole last night. He is at Souths now, built like a tank and probably heavier than our props. He looks good when I've seen him deputising for Damien Cook, but try as I may I haven't been able to find him being linked with us, so maybe a nothing rumour.

That's the danger of frequenting establishments such as Hop Pole, especially after its swanky refit

I would tend to think any player nearing the 30 mark age wise is unlikely based on what TS has previously in terms of wanting younger players than players reaching the end of their careers.

Matt Shaw is doing a Q&A and suggests that the names FC are looking at are ones who he would expect could get deals in the NRL.

For me that’s a positive, we’re being ambitious
