Real shame about Jake going, as much as his undoubted ability it is his attitude & leadership which has filled a massive gap. I think we all thought leadership was lacking but he has highlighted its importance.

Good luck to him, sadly I don't see him as a regular NRL starter but you have to applaud his ambition.

Good thing with the TS regime is the management, getting the best out of players & playing a long game. I am confident all is in hand & we will be stronger across the squad next year .

On his day Austin is awesome but his day isn't that often as it was at wire

I'd look at youngsters from nrl always a few gems

I said other week Clifford is very replaceable ( he's a great player tho no doubt )

I'd pass on Austin. Is he 32? And after a 2 year deal.

Blows too hot and cold for me as well.

Reading the comments on the Facebook post where the raiders said they released him, the fans seem disappointed he's been released and seemed to rate him, could be a good option for us, we gave a good impression of ourselves whilst he was watching on in the stands anyway

Bringing in a young half is the dream but anything around the 26-27 mark is probably what we want. Enough experience to guide us around the Pitch but old enough we can hopefully phase them out for some academy talents if and when they’re ready.

We either look to real young half backs, eg Jacob Miller who can’t handle the pressure

Or big name, last payday eg sean Long, Reynolds, Pryce

Think we need someone with experience but also the ability to get out and stay out on the pitch.

I’d have a policy that we should only sign players, were at the end of the contract they’re at least as good as when we sign them.

Signing 30 year olds on 3 year deals means we might get good value year 1 but then year 2 & 3 they don’t justify their value

TNT have supposedly made a bit for Super League rights for next season , Hopefully it will be an increase on what Sky have offered previously and give clubs more cash to play with .
