Gutted and can’t help but feel it’s a decision he may well regret if he doesn’t get regular game time. Can’t fault the club for pulling out all the stops to try and keep him but can’t compete with the pull of home. Just glad to have had the pleasure of watching a genuine talent and one of the best halves the club has had in my 40 years watching the club.
Don’t blame Clifford though I do wish players from overseas would see out the contracts the sign. That said we all knew that it was highly probably he’d get the chance the go back to the NRL if he played well. We’ll certainly miss him as he and Trueman looked a great partnership.
Hopefully we will bring in another who can pick up where Clifford leaves off.
Just gutting thinking of what could have been.
