the day we worry about respect from "collabarateurs" is a cold day in hell!
Catalans didn't get the game on, so they can shove it.
oh dear,at least get the correct spelling of such a long word
yeah,Catalans should and I hope, will get punished in some way for their incompetance which is typical of french organisation - it's mind boggling how bad some of these council bods are ! regarding the punishment ? well, the best way to hurt Guasch is to hit him in his pocket so maybe a hefty fine would be seen as adequate by the RFL ? or maybe a points deduction ?
Catalans have gone into 'panic' mode issuing statements left, right and centre to try to appease the cock up including three options for those who bought tickets - one being to simply use the same ticket when the game will eventually be played at the GB at a later date implying they fully expect the game to be played in France.
SKY are not amused as they sent a cameraman/technician down especially to cover the game for nothing so maybe they too will be seeking some recompense ?
The game will be played in france probably when both sides are knocked out of the cup or at worst on the weekend of the Exiles game IMO
whatever happens the Catalans are well and truly embarassed and will do everything to make sure the same cock up isn't repeated - but this is France and ANYTHING is possible !

I should have stuck to cheese eating surrender monkeys, my apologies
It will not be the weekend of the Exiles game, seen as though that is at the KC (so I am told), it should be in the UK, FC should not be expected to travel again. (IMHO) (although why we flew to Barcelona is beyond me, we're meant to be a multi-million pound business,a charter flight to the nearest (within reason) airport should have been organised)

no apology required - I quite agree about the surrender monkey bit - the french would sell their own granny to save their skins probably a bit different tho' when a huge war machine is overrunning your homeland and you have no effective defences maybe ?
what would I do to protect my family ? well, probably surrender.....
check out - http://www.oradour.info/ we are about ten kms from this place - a 'must see' place to understand what makes you surrender......
regarding the cheese - most of the french cheese is mass produced and full of E numbers so it's much more fun finding the homemade products, probably like the uk ?

perpignan don't have any flights available this time of the year, carcasonne is the nearest, come summer, would expect teams to fly direct to perpignan

(this is thread drift, apologies)
I have a good friend who runs a dairy/fromagerie on the French/Swiss border above Avoriaz and he bemoans the same thing.
the French are adept at trying to pick the winning side at the last minute, I particulalrly like googling "French Military Victories".........

you're talking scheduled flights, not private charter.
anyway, in honesty it matters not, even if the game had been cancelled 2 weeks in advance most people's flights (and more than 50%'s accommodation) would have been non refundable (not that it makes it any less frustrating about the late decision to call it off, or the idiotic idea of watering the pitch)
it's a bit like hosing down the steps when it's -1 already!

apart from daddy warbucks at warrington, i doubt many ther chairmen or boards at other teams would be willing to pay for a chartered flight
if we knew that the game was cancelled earlier, like many have said that some knew on tuesday the pitch was unfit for play, we could have cancelled our hotels without losing any money, flights we could have changed to a later date at a small cost, or risked losing the money on them

you can't change MOST flight dates, nor could you have probably cancelled hotels at short notice
as much as I sympathise, be realistic, the ash cloud a few years ago caused a lot more people to lose a lot more money.
and the RFL pay for teams flights, if they cant pay for chartered maybe they need to rethink Catalans involvement in the league, 300 FC fans t £100 each is £30k, I can charter a flight for 40 people for that from the UK to wherever I want in France (outside of the major hubs)
