Erm, Cas fans paid for his hair. We paid for him for to have a laugh, sat in the stands, watching games, when I had to pay to watch the dross.

You’re right he had earned a renewed contract up until his brain fart against Saints. No one knows what goes on inside closed doors, although some on here, make out they do, he may have been on a final warning after his previous outbursts. Personally I said we should get rid after his behaviour in the quarter final, he cost us the game.

If he goes ill be disappointed with Clifford, I understand the arguments for him going, but he signed a 2 year deal, feels to me like he was never going to honour it. Lam, Croft, French have all been courted by the NRL and have stayed at their clubs more than a year.

As a club I wouldn't be signing any NRL that have a clause that doesn't offers compensation.

One positive is time, still chance to get a replacement.

He has honoured his contract. The fact he had that clause inserted suggests he was always open to a return to the NRL if the option was available, and was open about it.

I’d assume that he had to indicate his intention by a deadline, so you were always going to be fine for time.

Jafe Clifford is a good scrum half but outstanding he isnt - Is he an FC great either ? - no. And if he cant even honour a small two year contract then quite simply he was here for a free holiday and nothing else. Let him go and forget he was even here

A bit unkind. He took a few weeks to settle but has become the linchpin of the side. I personally hope he stays, if he did settle he would become an FC great, the best scrum half I’ve seen in black and white for a very long time and I’m including Sneyd.

FC signed the contract as well. If he stays or if he goes it would appear that the contract has not been broken. Still we wouldn’t want the facts to get in the way of your blinkered FC view of the situation would we Dave?

If your club went unilaterally down the route you are suggesting then you probably will not sign players from the NRL in future. Good luck with that!
