I think we should be pulling out all the stops to sign Orford and O'Meley, with the additions of Fitzgibbon, Lauaki, and O'Meley we would possilby have the best pack in the league, and with Orford and Horne playing off them, the backs will have a field day. In Raynor and Calderwood we've got two of the fastest wingers in the league, inside them, Yeaman and Whiting who are both very capable centres, add to that Tom Briscoe, and our back line is very strong. So... Hull.FC put your hands in your pockets (tough ask I know) and bring us Matt Orford and Mark O'Meley for 2010.

Tony. Preferrably I'd have Horney in at full back, coming into the line in attack (as of recent), however I don't think it would be fair to expect him to cover 2 positions week in week out, and I think it it would affect his game also. In an ideal world, I'd like to see us sign a 6 AND a 7 but we all now that's not going to happen. |

The only thing he lacks is speed but he is far from mediocre and I beleive you to be very much in the minority in your opinion of him |

Whiting is in no way mediocre, he is a very gifted and skillful player and is not as slow as people make out and having him on the field is bringing the best out of Calderwood too. |

I'd say it's keeping [itoo many[/i average players that's been our problem.
Whiting is worth another contract IMO. Every side needs one utility player, and Whiting is a good one. He's also young and British.
There are a number of players ahead of him in the queue to be released. |
