Well i disagree... I'm proud of every shirt i buy from the club. And i'm proud to support FC through the good times and the bad... Glory hunters will come and go, but not me!!

Our time will come, whether it's next year, year after or 10 years away.. and i'll be there to see it!!

My shirt has no bearing on that.... I have a signed framed shirt of the 2005 CC Final. But i also have one of last year (2009) with Thorman's signature (along with the rest of the squad).

I love both shirts of this year (2011) although, i'm not sure about the cotton as i don't feel it fits comfortably, wears well and i don't like the patchwork sponsors. However, i think both designs are great!! The away one is, IMO, the best away shirt for years... Very Australia like for me!!

But i won't burn them if we win nothing!!

How unbelievably patronising and a sweeping generalisation to boot. Supporting a club woven into the fabric of peoples' lives with all the highs and lows along the way and in a way a shirt is a permanent souvenir of each season. I have a 1994 shirt that some work colleagues got autographed for me as a leaving present and I always think of them when I see it or wear it. I have a sharks shirt that I wore when I took my 5 month old daughter to her first game, a 2006 shirt that I had Prescott 1 printed on the back of that reminds me of that emotional game at Knowsley Road, a 2009 away shirt that I wore this year in Canada on derby day and I'm sure there are many others with similar stories. I feel embarrassed for you that you feel there aren't enough other negative threads to post on and therefore need to derail this one about shirt design in a manner that is both derogatory and patronising.

I don't know if you're taking the pi55 out of me there or not

I am not a better fan of this club than anyone else and don't claim to be!!

All i'm saying is, i buy my pass, away tickets, various other items, both shirts and wear them with pride win or lose!! This is no different to anyone else. If somebody pays on the gate just once a year then they contribute to our great club and they are a fan and therefor entitled to an opinion.. But there's a time and a place to do it!! My main point being that, some fans may not renew or go to games this year because season pass prices will increase, they don't like the shirts and/or don't think we'll win anything... Well i will, cos i want to be there for that special moment if/when it does happen, those glorious feeling that you just don't get when you watch it back!!

I'm proud of where my club is but still strive for improvements. Why abuse other fans for this reason??

Indeed.
I think that is something most clubs have realised ( the reason we wore a red shirt in out first SL year).
The years of you only needing 1 shirt for 10 years due to it never changing are long gone.
TBH I have seen worse FC shirts and you are back to your hoops.
I will say blue and gold why does that sound familiar
