unfortunately size and power in the forwards in R/L does matter and we dont have it,then when you lose next season your most effective go forward player we really are in a mess especially as the club have said that a nine is priorty probably from overseas.
That means we only have two overseas spots for forwards when we desperately need two big mobile front rows and a second row but still going to have to carry,Cator,Lane,Brown and the better of the four Fash.
These players are usually easily tackled by two opposition players so that means an extra man in defence but with a big forward with aggression it will take three sometimes four to put then to the floor

Also think he’s got the fan base behind him. Even on the losing run he “held his nerve” (can maybe give Rishi lessons in that), and the supporters stayed united behind him. We’ve not had a coach in a long time, where nearly all the support base was behind him as much.

Was this before or after fans were questioning him on social media, throwing their shirts on to the pitch and participating in regular fire drills? I’m sure fans started to leave after our second try at easter, 15 minutes in the faithful followed in numbers following week to Leeds as well. All 50 of them.

Have to agree with others, yesterday showed we need size, our only impact was Satae who is leaving. Totally dominated, although losing Swift didn't help and Griffin, Sutcliffe and Taylor would have made a difference.

Definitely agree we need some power and size adding. Catalan just marched us downfield.

Taylor was missed yesterday, as he’s one of only a couple of forwards we have with physical presence.

Hopefully better use of the salary cap will enable us to bring some big bodies in. A lot of our cap is tied up in players who won’t play for us again, or aren’t up to it.

The fact that Gould said he's definitely not leaving probably means we have signed him for next season

We definitely need that type of player, a Satae type player, wish the Mcmeeken rumour is true also, but can't see it.

Mcmeeken was the best prop on the pitch yesterday, he's made the transition to the middle look easy.

Exclusive: Hull FC have been linked with a forward from a rival Super League club for 2024.

rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands the Black & Whites are interested in Leeds back-rower James Bentley.

The forward is off-contract at the end of this season and appears set to leave the Rhinos.

Bentley, who hails from the Leeds area, joined the Super League club from St Helens at the end of 2021.

The 25-year-old's time at Headingley has been marred by several suspensions for high tackles and professional fouls.

The forward started his career at Bradford in 2016 before spending four years at Saints.

He helped St Helens to a grand final in 2020 but missed the 2021 decider through injury.

Bentley has also played eight Tests for Ireland, and was involved in an off-field incident with Victor Radley during last year's World Cup.

This season he has made 11 appearances for Leeds.
