Being successful in the NRL is a real concern and if they were, they are likely to stay in the NRL. Some of the better NRL props that have come over here, Fifita, Millington and Garbutt had pretty quiet NRL careers. With the salary cap as it is compared to the NRL, unless you use a marquee spot, you either get a player towards the end of his career (Glenn for example) or a fringe player (Evans). Evans is a big bloke, I think it is done, as someone who is pretty in the know said on twitter that they were looking forward to watching our new signing play in the Eels/St George game.

Round 1 - 17 mins, 3 Hit Ups, 27 Metres, 9 metres av/gain, 10 Post Contact Metres, 12 Tackles
Round 2 - 33 mins, 10 Hit Ups, 100 Metres, 10 metres av/gain, 43 Post Contact Metres, 2 Tackle Busts, 14 Tackles
Round 3 - 33 mins, 14 Hit Ups, 121 Metres, 8.64 metres av/gain, 41 Post Contact Metres, 1 Offload, 14 Tackles
Round 4 - 23 mins, 10 Hit Ups, 108 Metres, 10.8 metres av/gain, 36 Post Contact Metres, 4 Tackle Busts, 3 Offloads, 11 Tkls
Round 5 - 24 mins, 8 Hit Ups, 57 Metres, 7.1 metres av/gain, 21 Post Contact Metres, 1 Tackle Bust, 15 Tackles
Round 8 - 6 mins, 2 Hit Ups, 19 Metres, 9.5 metres av/gain, 5 Post Contact Metres, 1 Offload, 1 Tackle
All games he has come off the bench. Round 4 stats look impressive, but then Round 5 pretty poor, and didn't play again until Round 8 when he only played 6 minutes. Looks to have good leg drive with his Post Contact Metres.

Cheers Wilde3, looks like he’s figuring regularly in the hardest of leagues.

Seem to remember we were interested in signing him 2/3 years ago but nothing came of it. Certainly a big unit but he maybe using sl as a bagaining ploy to stay in nrl. We'll see

Kane Evans would be a good signing imo. Haven't seen him this year, but did see him play a few times for the Roosters and in the World Cup. Big guy who runs his weight, good age, plenty of NRL games under his belt, and seems like the kind of name we could realistically have a chance of getting.
As for Welch (mentioned a page or two ago). We have more chance of JWH, and that isn't going to happen either.
