As disappointed as I would be to see him go, it sort of stacks. Hoy impressed in what had been a pretty poor Knights side in NRL, would the club fancy getting a decent transfer fee out of Connor to spend on a half to partner Trueman, especially with the quota spot still available?
What I would say however is getting rid of by far your best attacking player whilst desperate to maintain/improve pass sales is a pretty bold strategy. We would need to line someone up of top NRL quality to make up for his loss in my opinion, and I highly doubt it will be easy to get someone of that calibre over.
