Short term thinking, also in this case we aren't just talking about academy kids, they have Corey Hall and PLT, neither played and the weekend and both could step into replace Hall.

Yeah you’d like that wouldn’t you  We’ve already established Corey hall isn’t a winger, and PLT just isn’t good enough. It’s just hurting you that we’re able to improve our squad mid season with better quality players, whilst you’re still waiting to replace evans. It’s not bad having money I tell ya.

I don't think anyone has ever said he's as good as Jason Smith, or Albert Kelly, but with an alarming dearth of talent in the pool, at the moment I'd doubt we can recruit anyone as good as, or better than, Jake Clifford.

That's my point he is replaceable

Some people talking like he's irreplaceable, don't get me wrong he's been a great signing but

Probs would have about 6 or 7 half backs are better in super league still let alone nrl

Always hidden gems in nrl if he does go back

Hiku isn't a full back but you're still going to play him there! Few points better off than us and they think they are champions elect....

The problem isn’t playing players out of position, it’s their ability in the position in question. I’d dread to think what some wingers would do to PLT, and Corey Hall showed he isn’t a winger against Wigan. It’s yet to be seen what Hiku is like at full back in super league, but FWIW I’m definitely sceptical.

It’s pleasing to see Rovers not write off their season and are scouting the market for immediate players of decent quality. I think it would have been a lot closer for us if we didn’t have zenon on weekend.

I never said Corey Hall was a winger, but SKD is though, would help if you could read before you try and make points.

As mentioned numerous times, I'd rather give Brown or Staverley game time than sign a quick fix replacement, much better in the long term. If you need to sign a winger for one game to beat Wakey, then that's up to you, but if I was a top young player in Hull I would look at this and the way Rovers develop their young players and look elsewhere.

Think the Dobbins are getting giddy with the smoke and mirrors act going on at Caravan Park.

See what the situation is once the land has been developed. Not sure why they have a fascination with this board though?

Thread derailed again.
I personally am not interested in Hull KR's loans, recruitment etc etc,
is it possible that this thread continues relating to Hull FC??

thanks

Brooksy usually spot on with his info but hope he is wrong about Clifford.
Would be a massive setback if he leaves end of the season.

At it again, 7 better halves in SL… name them.

You’ll Start claiming McLelland is better as he has 2 caps for Scotland and Clifford doesn’t have any.

If Clifford stays 2-3 years he will be the best half back we’ve seen for a long while - better than Sneyd, Kelly, Horne, Cooke, brough.

Just needs to let someone else kick goals

Dave and one or two others asked about or commented on Rovers, and I fancied a natter.

The irony of an academy-first approach being extolled on a 200+ page thread called Shopping List and long-termism crashing straight into Josh Hodgson for a year is a lot for me to resist. I’m weak.

But yes, fair enough, Hull FC’s rebuild.
