True and the reserved seating on East Stand didnt help but for a team that hit a 14,000 average last season you would expect first home game to hit the same expectations. Truth is season passes are down on last season and ticket sales were poor up to the run in of the Leeds game hence family tickets and reduced prices ( I heard 10,500 ish was the expected crowd before family day and reduced prices were introduced) - thats poor when you think Leeds probably brought 1500.
Last year had the hysteria of Long, O'Meley and Fitz. This year the pre season has been an anti climax.
I expect the Crusaders game to be the 10,500 - Season passes stand at around 8000 (despite the club claims) - down on last year and no away fans and I would say 3 poor results, a poor attendance will be there.
You'll know when despairation really kicks in - watch out for 'due to good behaviour drinking is now permitted in the ground'
