Compare both him and Yeaman to Shenton and Evans from Friday they were a class apart. Better service granted but they hit the ball at pace and ran at the gaps. We struggle to do that.

Didn't G Horne put 3 tries past Shenton ? Don't get me wrong our centres are not the best in my view but on Friday there wasn't much between ours and theirs. Same can be said about the teams as a whole - certainly Cas were not so much better than Hull as some are suggesting. Otherwise the scoreline, and number of tries scored in particular, would have looked much different.

G Horne finished 3 very good tries, but dont let that over shadow the fact that both him and yeamo were poor. No worse than the rest of the team but very poor.

Shenton and Evans caught the ball on the outside shoulder of our centres and made an extra 10-15 metres or so by punching the hole. We looked pedestrian in comparison and seemed to go back to running at the man again.

Shenton was caught out near to his own line by a 2nd rower playing centre who had more power.

Most good centres can play second row nowadays. Graeme was not poor at all and it's quite ridiculous how he's become the newest in a long line of scapegoats. If the rest of the team had as "poor" a game as Graeme, we'd have won the game.

I actually think that centre is one of our weakest positions so would agree in the main with what you say about our lads. Think you're overstating the influence their centres had a bit mind. :)

Who's making him a scapegoat? Read my posts this morning, ive simply said all 17 were poor including Graeme. My point on here is that we need to look at Cas to see how centres should run IMO.

i think both yeamo and horne get alot of un-necessary criticism on here. i personally believe that both have been quite solid and started the season extremely well.

Centre is one of the most difficult positions to play in and master, and when comparing against other arguabley top centres such gidly, senior and matt king they are a good few years younger.yeamo is 25 and horne is still only 23.

also there are very few top quality centres in superleague, a big problem especially for the england team but thats another matter and getting away from hull fc. I think that the centre pairing we have currently although individually not the best but together when comparing against other teams centres is quite good.

Was just hugely impressed with the pace they were hitting the ball at. Guess Sherwin may have something to do with that too. We seem to always catch the ball stood still.

After Friday's performance, catching it at all would be a start.

un necessary in the sense that he played well and people are picking little flaws which anyone can do to any player if they look hard enough. people only see what they want to see most of the time....
