Just reading Smiths interview about injuries, sounds like Mitch will be here next year.

Useful squad player but fitness is going to be an issue.

We might be helping him with his rehab. He will be cheap on the cap. Might just be doing the right thing by him

I can handle Lynn and the likes of Tindall and Ashworth if we sign 3 top (SL level) forwards.

Like i said the club are playing catch up mainly due to very poor planning with players coming off contract.
If thats the caliber of UK based player we are signing then the Overseas forwards we need are going to have to be something special to carry the team.
Tuimavave looks to be way off the pace and we have to find some real speed on the wings and i dont think thats Reece Lynn so maybe the club think Lynn can do a better job than Tuimavave in the centre for next season.
Tindall is young and just a punt for the future so surely cant be a replacement for Swift and Ashworth is a poor mans replacement for Satae if he is coming here.

I just can’t see the logic in Lyne.

Wingers - McIntosh, Tindall, Mitch, Barron, Martin, litten

Centre - Sutty, Carlos, Scott, Wacokeoke, Mitch.

Does he improve the starting 17? No.

We definitely look like we could do with 3/4 reinforcements but it’s not squad depth we need. We need players that will improve our 17.

What does Lyne offer that Wynne doesn’t about from a L? Probably a better attitude but is he a better/more robust player. I’m not sure

Also been told Reece Lynne signing for us a winger for next season

Would rather us promote from within than sign Lyne. Seventeen tries in the last four and a half seasons. I know he's in a struggling team but even so. Anyway he's a centre, isn't he? Not played much on the wing for a few seasons.

Lyne offers more professional attitude than Wynne, Barron and Martin untried, Litten a FB who covers the wing, he’s better than McIntosh IMO

I know this is not technically about FC or RL but think it warrants being on this thread as an interesting article in the HDM here this morning with regards to City in terms of the new agreement reached by the EFL & premier League for the signing of overseas players that don't meet the current points requirements for an international visa.
I would hope that with the ever decreasing player pool that the RFL are doing or could do something similar for RL and be able to bring in talented players that clubs wouldn't normally be able to sign due to the visa requirement in terms of first grade and international games played. Though I wouldn't increase the current quota number, it would just be to widen the choice of players available for the quota spots and ones which are more affordable for the game over here.

I think it has to go thay way Chris, as the standard of NRL players has decreased massively over the last few years due to the difference in SL cap, so clubs need to look to sign fringe players who may not meet the requirements. I would be looking to reduce the quota though down to 5 long term.

Someone is trying to poach Jai Whitbread from Wakey. A few months ago I'd hope it's us. Not to sure now with Satae leaving
