Both of these signings would have been great for you guys 3/4 years ago but now they are just stop gaps that are surplus to requirements at their current clubs.



If Saints really thought Long was upto it for 2 more years they would have given him the deal as Long did not want to leave.

Yeah tony being one of them injured players. He would want more than a one year deal, which is only what i'd want to give him

Not the signing I was hoping for but he is clearly better than anything we have had in that position for some considerable time. I just hope that he's still motivated at this stage of his career. This gives us the opportunity however to utilise our quota options on a prop, centre and full back hopefully.

It will be odd on Friday to hear the crowd cheering on the opposition scrum half whilst probably booing the home one (if Thorman plays)

I feel a little mixed on this signing, the only thing that worries me really is his age. In terms of ability we have signed the best SH this country has produced in years and outside of our own squad he has always been one of my favourite players. I still think he is the best British SH around but my only concern is his age and injuries. If he can stay fit then I reckon this signing will prove to be genius.



I do think it is a certainty that Horne wil play at 6 with Longy at 7 and I think Hull are now in the market for either a centre or a fullback. If Motu stays fit and wants to stay then I can see us signing a centre, that said I have heard rumours that we are trying to sign a fullback so who knows.



Well done to RA, he has delivered and seems to be convincing players like Fitzbiggon and Long that we can really compete for next season.

I'd want to be 100% sure that Tony has fully recovered from his knee injuries before even thinking about offering him another contract. And I really rate him.
