Thats a shame, he'll be a big miss for us. Good luck to him though, however poor we've been as a team recently he is one that has always given everything.

Are there any decent English wingers that are OOC? I'm hoping Tindall is coming in as a replacement for Wynne and/or Vulikijapani rather than Swift. After watching Tindall this season there's definitely something there he's pretty raw but not sure he's ready for first team SL yet.

We have to throw the kitchen sink at Tom Davies now I think. Not sure Tindall is anywhere near swifts level and won’t be for a good few years.

It makes the need for a strong pack more urgent. They’re going to need to really churn up the metres next season as swift offer a good go forward

Losing Swift is a blow to say the least and will take some replacing, as you say need to get in a suitable replacement and Davies whether both Catalans and Davies would be open to a move to Hull who knows.

Good pick up for Hudds. Pretty concerned that Tindall is seen as his replacement

Not sure Tindall is seen as Swifts replacement as the club had been hopeful that he'd stay and think Tindall is more replacement with the future in mind.

Certainly makes the recruitment more interesting as quality players like Swift are few and far between.

Maybe we'll have to scout the championship for a decent winger like saints did with Riston this year

Huge loss Swift, probably the biggest we will have to stomach. No disrespect to Tindall but he cannot be the replacement, we need someone proven.

Watson cries like a baby when clubs sign his players, so at least he won’t be unhappy with Swifty signing for him and his processes.

I think the club need to really start to think about perceptions and get some positive news out. As so far we know

Ins: Jack Ashworth, Liam Tindall
Out: Evans (gone), Satae, Dwyer, Swift, Wynne, Ferreira

Right now, we look considerably weaker and are losing a few fan favourites

so a few announcements would help massively.

It might be worth bearing in mind that as well the salary cap, from 2024 each club also has its own Financial Sustainability Cap. See the last part of this article:

https://www.skysports.com/rugby-league/ ... wn-players

I guess the RFL want to avoid the sort of meltdown seen in RU. They don’t want their clubs to go bust because… obviously. Also, if they guaranteed as well as administered the COVID loans, then if a club does go bust they’d be liable.

With Pearson having commented on the challenges Hull FC face around repayment, perhaps they (and other clubs, of course), will be a bit more constrained in their spending for a period.

Looks like next season, we have 4 wingers, McIntosh, Barron, martin and Tindall (and maybe Litten), I don't think Mc is good enough, but I would mind one wing place being fought out between the young wingers, so we need to either find an experienced winger for a year, look for one in the championship or risk a quota spot.

We will certainly need to use a quota spot on a hooker, unless we can sign a good British hooker (Leeming, Litten or Hodgson for example).

So that leaves us with two spots, think we need a prop and backrower too, so unless we can sign another Uk forward then we have to use the spots on those positions leaving us scrambling for a winger.

Not confident we are going to recruit well enough to challenge the top 6 next season, i suppose the key is improving the 17, particularly use of quota spots for the likes of Lovodua and Evans,

Not panicking yet, but could do with some good news or least some exciting rumours, being so quiet tends me to think we don't have anything else sorted apart from Tindal and Ashworth, those type of signings are not going to get the majority of the fans rushing to buy passes.
