Hiku has played fullback 26 times in 200 NRL games, With the greatest spin in the World, that would suggest he's not a fullback. Or at least the highest rated coaches in the World don't think he's a fullback. That's not to say he won't do a decent job in our much inferior competion, but the "round holes fanaticism" seems at least partially justified. Evalds similarly has played wing 28 times in 197 games, which again - suggests he's an out and out fullback.

But it’s not like Rovers are trying to convert either into a prop. Hiku hasn’t primarily been used a fullback, but it’s hardly alien to him. Among Rovers fans too, there seems a wilful confusion when it’s a pretty simple situation of Hiku replacing Coote, Gildart replacing SKD and Evalds possibly coming in for Ryan. It might not work out but it seems pretty conventional, imo.

I’m also just a bit weary about a few comments i’ve seen, in different places, that players should only play in their best positions. If a team’s third best available centre is, despite primarily being a centre, a better winger than their second best available winger, you play that more natural centre on the wing. Then… Corey Hall, long screed about confirmation bias etc.

In my defence a Hull fan started it.

Hull’s recruitment.

Nobody confirmed to date… or was Tindall? Ashworth strongly rumoured.

I must admit that I’ve gone from hoping you do re-sign Taylor and Houghton to hoping they decide to retire. You should have plenty of budget but there’s really not much available in the fed-trained aisle. Maybe go big with your non-fed signings?

You have no defence. Your a KR supporter on an FC thread derailing it to talk about KR, on the assumption that an FC fan was rubbishing KR, you’re also a mod. Ban yourself  :SHOOT:

I think stats showed last night how we really need to invest in our go forward. Leigh’s starting props made more meters than our full pack.

Each week it becomes more and more obvious what we need

I hope Savelio stays and then I’d look at definitely bringing in a quota prop and back rower.

Then the last quota spot is a shoot out between another prop and a hooker. This depends on the confidence In DH and DB and how the 24/25 recruitment window is looking.

Swift more or less confirmed to be leaving, really disappointed, big shoes to fill.

Let's hope the move works out better than it has for Connor, not sure any player's career will be helped by having Watson as their coach.

Looks like family reasons as others have mentioned.

Swift out as expected. Didn't see him going there though. A real blow, this one, more disappointing than Satae

We have to throw the kitchen sink at Tom Davies now I think. Not sure Tindall is anywhere near swifts level and won’t be for a good few years.

It makes the need for a strong pack more urgent. They’re going to need to really churn up the metres next season as swift offer a good go forward

Good pick up for Hudds. Pretty concerned that Tindall is seen as his replacement
