The reality of the situation will hit next season, as people will simply prioritise paying bills over watching a “project “
I’m hoping to hear from AP at some point, to see how he feels about things.
I am really worried about the financial situation, some wont have a choice of entertainment over essentials. Others will will choose their entertainment spends wisely. The size of our stadium doesnt help either, if you lose your treasured seat there's another free one not far away.
If we hear from Adam it can't be another 'be faithful and back the club' thing, he's milked that now, the vast majority of fans not asking for a refund during Covid showed enough loyalty.
Luckily I wasn’t there, but listened to Alan use a thousand words Hunt were a couple would have done on the radio, I did post numerous times early in Brett’s tenure, that I saw no discernible style or pattern to our teams play, nothing seemed to be evolving, even boring Huddersfield, ahem Sam Tompkins and Joe Burgess and me have a way to play.
We are sort of a rabble, a rabble without a cause, we certainly don’t seem to have any friends, even our own fans are chucking it because we keep getting mullered, with threats to stop buying tickets, that’ll really help.
Dan Tomlinson is right to berate the players, what about the coach Dan, did that one get overlooked, no one should be left out of this present debacle, and to be honest it’s probably good this has happened, maybe AP will have to wield the axe again, did Hodgson actually put the blame on Connor Wynne, it sounded like it.
Then there’s the drug theory of course, rumour has it Josh Simm left half an hours worth of Saints stash in his locker.
No one covered themself in glory, but some of the stats are grim reading, the main low-lights are:
Longstaff, 2 drives all game for 5 metres, along with Lane who did 5, so the backrow manged 7 drives, whilst McIntosh does 16, how is allowed to happen, is this coaching or laziness from the players? Satae taking 6 hit ups, our best go forward prop and one of the best in the league that is poor, is it fitness, all the Saints props do 15 to 20 hit ups, what is our obsession with our backs doing all the work, worked ok when you have the likes of Fonua and Talanoa, but our backs are pretty lightweight so use the forwards more.
Jordan Johnstone did an 18 minute spell, now ok, it was the time when Saints were really dominant, but in that time, he got tackled 0 times.
Either the players aren't fit , the tactics are wrong or they aren't listened to the coach, probably a combination, but this is the coaches job to make sure they are fit and the tactics are right and been followed, otherwise he has to take action.
There is even an in balance in the amount of work the backs are doing, McIntosh is probably our weakest go forward player, yet he takes the most drives!
Need some serious changes with our coaching and conditioning.

Been saying it all season, the forwards don't do enough work getting us out our 20/30, we've got a culture of giving it to the lightweight lads. Ive watched certain props just come on the field and shy away from carrying the ball in.
For me some are stealing a living, but I also think our organisation and distribution from our 9 and 7 is abysmal.
We need 2 leaders in those positions, who l order the forwards to take carrys. Shame Savelios out who doesn't shirk the graft, really missed him and Carlos.

Agree with all you have written, think Shift is good the yards too, as he is strong.
Mitch Carlos Sutcliffe Swift
Looks a lot stronger than our current backs, but agreed better organisation and coaching needed to use our forwards more.
