Agreed it would seem to be a very strange signing if they go ahead especially as they weren't offering Ryan a deal who for me is better than Evalds for the wing spot. Cas fans aren't too fussed if he goes which tells you a lot and he's hardly played a great deal since he signed for Cas due to constant injuries.

Coote retiring though , another head knock, maybe with immediate effect?

They have just signed Walker, signed Hiku for next year and have PLT (Although Rovers don't like to use young players).

A bit off topic, but interesting interview with Josh Hodgson, mainly about his move from Hull to Rovers, would have stayed, but wanted a pay rise of 2000k (10k to 12k), classic Rule decision that.

I hope we don't make the same mistake again.

A bit o/t but there's a really good article about Josh Hodgson in today's HDM about how his move came about. It's from James Graham's podcast which is worth a listen. Loads more other interviews as well.

Just read that, and while admittedly we had Berrigan, Houghton and Tommy Lee at the time so were well stacked for hookers surely paying the 2 grand and then tying him down and potentially getting a transfer fee later if we wanted to move on was the better option??
