At the end of the day both Hull clubs have failed in terms of SL success and the sport, the City and both clubs themselves need both clubs to be doing better.
Really not sure what the answers are but unless the players are cut from the squad that are causing issue it allows the rot to continue and infect the others and means we are stuck in perpetual turmoil.
Taylor, Houghton, Griffin, Gale for me should not be at the club next season moving forward which would mean paying off Taylor and Griffin, then not renewing any deals with Houghton and Gale. Jury is still out on Lane who really needs to up his game too as he's just not been at it this season but would give him the benefit of doubt next season with the removal of the 4 mentioned.
If the club give Houghton another year then AP, JC and BH need to give their heads a wobble as that is just rewarding systemic failure and again leaving the rot to continue to fester.
The silence from Pearson is deafening.
Seems to me he has buried his head in the sand, with no new ideas or real money to rectify the situation other than a fantasy plan hoping that several of the clubs promising younger players will all make the grade in S/L.
Huge mistake backing Hodgson and Pearsons credibility seems to have run out with a lot of fans.
Its a results based business and getting those fans back in the stadium will only happen with success on the field and given our recruitment Hoy and Trueman apart it certainly wont happen next season.
I agree we need to move on the players mentioned.Gale and Houghton should be no problem but we may have to keep Taylor and Griffin and that would be a disaster.
Probably not popular but if we could sell Connor for a decent fee then that would help with offloading Taylor and Griffin.
I think we will struggle next season but have a feeling that Licensing in S/L will be back for 2024 so no concern over relegation
