Had Reynolds been a permanent signing as a first choice half I’d be disappointed but as a season long loan Reynolds is a smart bit of business. He’ll come in offering some experience in the halves and support both Trueman and Charles.
I like the way Myler and Grix are trying to supplement the squad for the rest of this season to try to make us a bit more competitive but without risking anything for next seasons rebuild.
I’d much rather sign Ben Reynolds on loan for the rest of the season than sign another Josh Reynolds on a 2.5yr deal.
Think it’s clear the focus is on 2025 and getting the right players in for next season rather than compromising.
