It's a tricky one, definitely. From a point of principle perspective, it's indefensible. You can't bin off Tansey for drinking if the rumours about Gleeson are true and expect to retain some integrity on the discipline front. And we've spent years getting rid of the worst drinking offenders in the club. In that context it's insane.
However, after 3 years of watching utter bollox on the pitch, I find my indignation/outrage at the suggestion tempered by the fact Gleeson's a quality player and cheap as he'll have few options. How did it come to this?
