Shame about Lovodua, made such a great start, but since then............

Seems certain to be released along with Savelio.

As you say al283 Lovodua made such a great start and the dummy to score at Wakey was a peach but unfortunately since then not done an awful lot. Even if he is fairly low cost on the cap, the impact on taking up a quota spot and sitting out most games is a big hit and to improve the squad it’s one we can ill afford to make.
Shame we’ve not seen him have much of a run at 9 which is what he came here for and seems unlikely we will barring injuries.
At least we no longer seem to be re signing/extending contracts out of sentiment etc and now appear to look more methodically and as to the value a player brings to the squad overall.

The issue Rovers will have going forward with these signings, is that they will be very top heavy on the salary cap, resulting in less squad depth. You have to pay more to bring a player to the club than you pay an academy squad player, resulting in a strong 17/18 players, but then your depth won't be up to much. They have to be careful with how they build. Saints/Wigan/Warrington seem to have the correct balance, of first team academy graduates and signings from elsewhere

Yes, your posts just demonstrates how much our recent progress hurts you. Will it continue? Only time will tell. Your present pain only makes the situation even more enjoyable. Keep up the snide remarks they all say more about the feelings of you FC fans than they do about our club.

Pleased with the three young lads, one thing I like about Jebson and Staveley is that they have some size and power, Gardiner lacks size but he has a big engine could see him being like Cator. Hopefully Armstrong will follow, but hear he might be going to Australia.

Good news about SKD, really glad we didn't sign him, good player but not want we needed right now.

Really exciting that there’s now an abundance of players coming through and getting a chance.
We won’t be able to develop or keep them all, but at least the systems are being put in place.
Don’t think they could have a better man in charge to oversee it all.

Wynne for Cas doesn’t surprise me I suppose, when you see the rest of their rumoured targets. Andy Last is a good guy, but I cant see things getting any better at that club.

Natural successor to Tony Smith if things continue as they are?
