You know nowt about the club fella so you can quote "hot air" all you like.

King, Blease & Rowley won't give Dupree away. Why should we? He's under contract until 2025 and we're sick of being f*cked over by "bigger" clubs. You want our players then it's on our terms.

Extremely poor from Dupree but his agent is Iestyn Harris so would expect nothing less from that c*ckwomble.

I haven't said you should give him away. But you're obviously facing money troubles.

The Salford board would've known this and have extended their key players to long term deals to help get transfer fees.

Dupree will be off, it's just a matter of when.

They have released a fighting statement, will ne intresting to see what happens, lot of money and fuss over a player who has had half a good season, seems a poor thing to do to Salford, after they gave him a chance to play SL again.

What like we did with Frankie Halton and you claimed it was rovers in the wrong and we was holding a unhappy player ransom

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Salford are on the verge of going pop, who in the right mind would want to have their long term future at the club? Rovers have been more than fair in offering a big transfer fee. Pulling power and cash to wipe our back sides with.

If Salford are on the verge of going pop then I would imagine they would have accepted any serious offer to buy Dupree out of his contract. Whilst they are not awash with money other than a bit of a rallying call from their chairman they are still seemingly managing.
As you say there’s nothing wrong with a player securing their future and I’m sure Dupree & his agent in Harris could agree with any prospective club that he’d join at the end of the season securing his future. If Salford then fail to be able pay players Dupree could rightly claim breach of contract but until such time he has a signed contract with his current club and it’s Salford’s right to refuse or accept any offer they feel is worth it for them as a club.

Just think it’s poor form by all involved and as I say not the sort of attitude that I’d like in a player.

As for your last comment all I’ll say is unless Rovers have found a gold mine then it’s likely the money is coming from directors in terms of loans. This all has to be paid back at some point as no business or businessmen give money away. Also another consideration is that if there is any fall out at the top or the businesses involved have issues themselves people would want their money back.
Many a sporting club over the years have come unstuck in these circumstances and a lot were far bigger than any SL club.

Either James Mcnicol was telling the truth about investment or there’s some serious money to be made off them burgers

Anybody expecting their director loan to a RL club to be repaid is likely to be disappointed. My assumption is that they generally know this.

While Dupree is a talent and id be happy to sign him if we had the cash...surely theres some doubt putting such a big fee on a player whos had about half a good season overall in SL?

And id question the attitude in forcing a move from a club he's just joined and who are doing well on the field (concern over the future of the club and likelihood of wages being paid is fair enough though)

Whilst I understand it’s always good to see new players coming in, I’m more excited about the development of the young players and finally having signs of a clear pathway to the first team.

Not the words of a man who sounds like he's handing out loans to the club.
