The question I ask is who is the whistleblower? Who informed the Hull Daily Mail? All of this apprently happened in June!!!!! It was a well kept secret not only by fc, the guilty parties, the drug agency, and the RFl. So why has it come out now?
Someone is hacked off over this. . .Gleeson? Cooper? Rule?
It's come out today because the UKAD has announced it's findings/punishments.
Yes how rotten of Gwilym to go on about a drug taking cheat and a CEO who orchestrates a cover up. Fancy a journalist going on about something trivial like that, doesn't he have anything newsworthy like a Hull FC training session he could report on?
What about the league points Hull FC picked up whilst Gleeson was cheating? FC certainly won a derby with Gleeson scoring a try. Cas lost out to Hull for a play off spot by a single point so they have grounds for complaint certainly.
It's OK Hull saying the culprits have left the club but that's not good enough. Hull benefitted by the cheating of 3 of the staff and there will have to be some pay back.
Instead of worrying about Gwilym Llloyd you should be more concerned about the repercussions that may still lie ahead.
You don't post much on here, but when you do it's the most pathetic, small dick syndrome, bullsheite I have the mis-fortune to read. I'll happily bet you Rovers debt (including Allams £1m) that the RFL just conclude that the matters been dealt with.

Back in june, I heard off someone at Brantingham Park gym that Cooper was sacked due to a doping issue with Gleeson. Can't remember who told me but there is deffo someone at the club with an axe to grind against the old regime!

Gleeson was banned in June but he appealed and his appeal was not heard until late October. No announcement could have been made before then.
Similarly the case against Cooper was heard in October. Rule was not even charged until November and the decision to ban him was made on 14 December.

Possibly so, but the reason it is in the papers today has nothing to do with a "whistleblower"
Thoughts: 1) Fecking disgrace 2) Putting aside Rule's involvement, asa general point, FC invite trouble by retaining the likes of Cooke and Raynor after transgression and signing player after player with "form" - Tansey, Reardon, Gleeson, Long, Aspinwall, Seymour. We should not be surprised that we are continually linked with this sort of thing when some of the participants are known risks. One would hope this is taken as a learning by McRae and Pearson, but the fact Aspinwall's on their watch suggests this hasn't happened yet. 3) In some circumstances this sort of thing is "justified" or "explained" by the huge pressure on individuals to deliver in marginal sporting circumstances, like an Olympic sprint final, for example. FC haven't troubled the top teams for 4 seasons and showed no sign of doing so before or during Gleeson's time at the club. Rule is not only guilty of deception, but utter stupidity to risk his career over a knackered player who wouldn't influence FC's performance or finishing position one way or the other. Personally I would have thought he'd have protected himself better and it surprises me that he didn't. 4) Thank goodness for Adam Pearson's takeover. Can you imagine going into 2012 with Kath and Agar still at the helm, a massive (probably unpayable) tax bill and then this emerging. In this context we're lucky the club still exists.
My thoughts exactly. I'm fecking sick of spending the last 6 or so years regularly seeing the club I love shoot itself in the foot due to the incompetencies of the idiots who have been running it. I sincerely hope this is the last time the club is dragged through the press for all the wrong reasons.
The thing I can't get my head around is, even if you have the inclination to cheat and the feckwittery to lie about it, "Why bother?" FC under Agar were awful and were never going to win anything, with or without a knackered and troublesome centre. Why would two people risk their career over it?
The only reason I can think, was that with Gleeson in the side,we could have had a stronger finish to the season, therefore Rule's spin could've had some credibility for the next season pass sales, coupled with the retention of his mate 'Rich'.
Maybe they thought, they'd never get caught?
Or maybe Gleeson was so desperate to land a renewed contract, he gambled on a shortcut, and it failed miserably.
