It was said by some on here months ago that the players just weren't available for 2011 and that we'd probably be aiming for a good 2012 and just see how 2011 goes. I think looking at the squad on paper it's evident that we've focussed on 2012.
It seems that this has been the case for that last few seasons. The club always seems to be focusing on next season, not this. There has to be a SH out there who want to play for us - surely!?
Lets face it, the Horne/Long partnership will most likely be formed in the stands rather than on the pitch. We no longer need cover, we need someone to take over the rains!

There's only so long they can use the same excuses, they know we'll have injuries, every team does, they know we've no cover in the halves, even less now Berrigans gone,no interchange hooker and very few options across the backline to cope with 2 or 3 injuries. When the inevitable happens they've got no right to complain about it,the only people to blame are them. They've repeatedly ignored what we need,we had the excuse that it wasn't agars team and give him chance to assemble his own squad,we've done that and to me we look weaker than we were 2 years ago. I won't renew my pass to watch 5 drives and a poor kick,it just doesn't offer value for money,it doesn't even get close to value for money. I'll pick and choose and watch games on sky at home.

As soon as Long or Horne or both are injured and Washbrook goes back in the halves it'll be deja-vu of last year and attendances will drop. Only then will the club start being more pro-active and actually go out and buy somebody.

Have to agree with most of that i'm afraid, thinkk the balance of the squad is very poor, we are light in the props, no half back or hooker cover, RH looks unlikely to start the season, very disapointed we havnt managed to bring anyone else in, am amazed we didnt go for Briggs with our Feath connections.

100% agree. If our club are happy to go with what we've got, they should also be happy to finish mid-table at best. We are a prop light (having re-signed two donkeys), we are woeful at HB, have needed a centre for too long now and have no cover at hooker.
No doubt when we have a random 5, 6 or 7 injuries to the squad, it will be that "bad luck" that has cost us again and nothing to do with our sub-standard squad or coach.
HDM cut and Paste from the RL press yesterday but What a strange statement from the Chief Executive of a club whose coach actually said that we had made an approach for Sammut.

I love Jamie and have done since he was 10 years old.

Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
