I agree we have a hate/hate relationship. Loaning players to your enemy is a non starter !

Maybe we would want to show that we are bigger than that. At the end of the day we are a business, and if it helps develop one of our assets by loaning him to rovers and it saves us some cash because they pay for his wages and development, and then they send is him back a better player why would we not loan a player to them?

I dont understand the talk of cutting our noses off to spite our faces, even with the history between the clubs it wouldnt make sense.

It depends if loaning the player makes a big difference to their performances it could be a case where we are battling with them at the end of the season an one of our players has helped them gain an extra couple of points. Cant see who they would want apart from Hodgson? unless they have a problem with a player(injury) and they dont want to people to know about it until they have cover?

Didnt read the thread properly, thought we were talking hypothetically?

Doubt we will be bottom 3 this season to be battling with them!

dykes origional replacement : Thu Feb 26, 2009 12:48 pm
Warriors deny Witt is on the outer
2/26/2009 4:04 PM

Warriors director of football John Hart says although Michael Witt is not the first choice standoff, doesn't mean he won't play

Warriors director of football John Hart has refuted standoff Michael Witt's claims he is on the outer with the club.

Witt says he has been told by coach Ivan Cleary he is basically surplus to requirements and will start the season with the Auckland Vulcans.

But Hart says that is not to say Witt will never play first grade for the Warriors. He says Witt has been told he is not first choice and if he wants to leave they will consider it.

Witt says he was told last year he could negotiate with other clubs but following the NRL finals, but when a new offer surfaced from Hull in the UK, the Warriors decided they wanted to keep him.

Hart says they never knew anything about the apparent contract offer.

Can you just link the article please and not C&P it, thanks.

I got told last December we had tried to sign Witt but the Warriors decided to keep him.
