I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I still think Griffin and Tag another year, Ned to get Staveley, Balmforth, Macca of the youngsters signed up also I’d fight as much as I could to keep Swift. Can see Darnell been offered out to other clubs. Houghton will retire but if we are struggling to get a Dwyer replacement I think he will go round another year.

Wouldn't argue with Taylor & Griffin being offered new 1 year deals, think both have shown under the new coaching team that they still have something to offer. In the current player pool that's available I think you'd struggle to find 2 players to replace them with especially given the other areas we need to strengthen. Got to say I've been impressed with Griffin at SR and he certainly seems to be growing in to the position.
Agree re the younger players you mention and think McNamara while he maybe no world beater he has value to the squad and wouldn't be big hit on the cap either.
Think the likelihood of McIntosh being here next season is slim if I'm being honest unless he finds a bag full of confidence from somewhere and really steps up.
Like you say think Houghton may well call it a day especially if we sign a main replacement at 9, which I think we still needed even if Dwyer had stayed.

Swift will be a big loss if he heads back west at the end of the season and hope we can convince him to stay for 1 more year.

Just caught up with the Leeds Wigan game. Tindall was solid/ok for Leeds.

If/when Swift leaves, I don't see Tindall as his replacement though. He doesn't seem to makes as many metres out of his own end. Although this is only going off the last 2 weeks against Wigan.

Question is, do we spend big on a winger or use an non fed spot?

Only way i'd use a non fed spot, is if we can sign some quality UK forwards and hooker or they are a top class winger, someone like Daniel Tupou maybe.

I think our needs are greater in the pack, so i don't think I would and would stick with what we have and sign Tindall.

I wouldn't spend big on an outside back, but if we lose Swift I dont think Tindall covers his loss. I'd see him battling it out with Litten for the other wing spot.

Wjat about the other wing, sign someone?

We will have Mcinhtosh, Barron, Martin, Tindall and Litten, very inexperienced though.

Such a shame about Swift, even if would sign a year, give the young wingers another year.

Sounds like Mcintosh could be on his way out.

For me, ideally we'd sign an established non quota winger to replace Swift plus have Tindall coming in, so we could line up like:

Hoy
New signing
Sutcliffe
Carlos
Litten/Tindall

If that happens is a different story I suppose

Hearing Rovers have signed Dupree so would like to think we'd go in for Ackers

Good signing for Rovers. Ackers would be ideal for us too.

While we're getting linked to Rovers players  , I've always liked Storton. The signing of Dupree would push him down the pecking order

I’d like to see Ackers come in as our 9 and think out of Dupree & Ackers the latter would be the better fit. He’d be an improvement on Dwyer and without using up a quota spot at 9.
