Agree with all comments - he has been decent recently, as good as any in fact - but was missing in action all last season, but maybe not fit ??

Pearson & Radford talked about beefing up the pack & adding size, no disrespect to those signed but that doesn't look like happening. Greeny IS one of the big boys, share others frustrations about his lack of grunt BUT he takes some puling down, is usually error free & rarely penalised.

Do have faith in the regime who see much more than us fans, just anxious that our backs might yet be behind a pack that cant dominate as we used to !!

I think fonua becoming available has thrown a spanner in the works. if we move griffin into the pack and sign 2 props plus someone to play 13 we'll look ok if still a bit heavy on outside backs and probably 1 forward short. my worry is that we'll only get 1 more prop and a 13 which will leave us worse than we are now and the pack isn't good enough this season

I agree our pack is a concern. I was as excited as everyone else was about signing Fonua but I can honestly say I’d be happy swapping him for another Mark o Meley or a Scott Taylor. Some people will not agree with that given Fonuas quality but we won’t go anywhere fast next season without a pack to rival the top 2.

Obviously there may be more signings to come but we’d better hope we’re getting all of Sao, Satae and Ma’u cos we’re going to need it considering we’re losing Westy and Green

We haven’t got a pack to rival the top 3 this season, but we’re doing okay sitting in…oh look the top 3.

If we sign Ma’u, Sao and Satae to go along with Jones, Savelio, Griffin, and hopefully Ikahifo that would certainly be an improvement on power and grunt and would be better than this seasons pack. Unfortunately I don’t think Ikahifo and Satae will be coming. I’d expect Paea to be signed on for one more season.

I don't think our recruitment in the forwards is finished yet. I think we will sign some size before February.

No I don't think we will. I think we will sign some big forwards. That was the point of my response.

I wrote top 3 and remembered we were still 3rd so changed it to top 2! Anyway we need to challenge Saints and Wire but I feel if we didn’t sign Fonua then Ratu and Faraimo would be ok with Swift backup. Our halves are too good to not have a decent platform and I think they’d be even better with an awesome pack hence why I think Fonuas wages could have been used for some grunty forwards. I could be proven wrong and Fonua scores/assists plenty of trys. Anyhow it’s not the worst situation we could be in

There's a lot to happen between now and next season, we're 3rd, still in the CC, I am enjoying this season, not worrying too much about next season just yet.
