Just see Litten as a non starter. I know he's not playing massive minutes for Rovers right now, but he's contracted until 25.

Just think it's because of Smith we're getting linked with every Rovers player going. Off the top of my head we've been 'interested' in Abdul, SKD, Wood, Halton and now Litten. It'll be someone like Storton (who I wouldn't mind ) next week

Always going to happen, I fully expect us to sign a few players, no one mentioned.

So far, of all the rumored players we are after and ones that are leaving, there are only two I'm disappointed about that is Trout and Swift.

If we have signed Franklin Pele, I'd be surprised. At 6ft 3" and 19 stone, he would be a ready made replacement for Satae, but he has been getting game time at Cantebury, this year so I can't see it , unless they want him to get more experience. Whatever happens, there is no need to panic, just yet.

Could be something in the litten and Pele rumours, not sure litten is the type of hooker we need personally . Heard rovers might be paying fees for some players as well .

I'd take both in a heartbeat; Litten is a good attacking hooker and Pele is a big body. I just don't see why Litten would leave a club, seemingly on the cusp of success, to join a team that, effectively,, deemed him not up to standard, and why Pele would leave the NRL, after breaking into the Bulldogs team lately.

Although I don't think Litten will come back, I know he is massively unhappy with his gametime this season. Stranger things have happened

Well he’s just done two 80 minute stints and with our spine now crocked is going to be playing big minutes every week

All after an England call up.

I’m sure he will be fine

Halton wanted to go back Lancashire we was never in for him, Leigh had a deal in place weeks ago but the stumbling block was his release and transfer fee, he's decent but Leigh must have money to burn, we've got an opportunity this season to bring a few youngsters in see if they are ready, Jebson, Steveley(if staying if not don't bother wasting cap), Balmforth(same as Staveley), Barron, Armstrong and more game time for Laidlaw and Gardiner.

That's what I would do and something Hodgson should have done more off, start implementing some of the above, not all of them and not every game, but giving the likes of Staverly and Armstrong 20 minutes off the bench.

Definitely Dave we are not going to win cup and top 6 a push with our points difference, like you say the odd game give them a taste tbf to Hodgson he did give Balmforth, Barron, Laidlaw and Gardiner a debut and a few games but think it was forced more than anything, but for me only give the lads a go that are staying IMO, if they are off leave them out on loan somewhere like Wynne,

Understand the idea in giving some of the young lads a taste of first grade but I don't think Sunday is the right time. Won three on the spin, confidence growing, combinations improving and against a SL side we should realistically be looking at beating. I would be going full tilt against Cas, a lucky draw in getting a championship side in the quarters would see us 80 minutes away from another Cup Final. Play off chances are looking slim, it feels like the right time to properly target the cup to salvage the season.

I mean later on in the season not this week we still need out strongest team for the cup I'm mainly on about SL games.
