I also think we are fishing in the wrong pond for a coach and that we should be looking overseas.
Apart from Asiata there is no logic in the signings Myler has made before a new coach is appointed, especially if they are on two year contracts.
Asiata was a statement signing and Myler should have used this selling the club to available coaches and players in Australia and NZ
Gaz Ellis is now back and who better to accompany Myler as he was one who was sold the dream before joing the club in front of several other top teams.

The overseas signings are the ones that will get us back to be a competitive team not the likes of Briscoe,Hardaker and Holmes so if we have money available and several quota spots then lets start to show some ambition and make this club great again
Agree. The quota signings are the key. There's far more scope to bring in quality from there compared to the domestic market. We cannot afford to get this so disastrously wrong again. All the top quality domestic players would have been snapped up before the investment so options are limited in that field unless we pay transfer fees.
The likes of Briscoe and Holmes are solid signings but must be augmented with NRL quality however nothing will convince me that Hardaker on a 2 year deal is anything but bad business.
We have to wait until the recruitment has been finalised before we can pass judgement.
