I agree , he is an important member of the squad and if it’s not 100 percent that he is going then I would be doing the best we possibly could do to keep him , even if it’s just a season to tide us over and give us time to get an adequate replacement or time to nurture a reserve / academy player to come in

Salford tied down all there major assets quickly to help them get fees. Hope it works out for them.

Don’t think it will work out for them. They are not covering their running costs and the fan ownership scheme will only help in the short term. They have raised £150,000 so far and that is peanuts. Annual salary of two reasonable players. Other clubs will be well aware of the situation and can just wait until the financial situation gets worse. Salford are in a poor negotiating position which will only get worse.
