I think as fans we have to be realistic, to players it is a job and mainly they have a mercinary outlook and have very little interest in what the club stands for or what the fans think.
I have had the pleasure to play with many ex pros and all bar none share this outlook. Loyalty and love of the club is the domain of the supporters and unless we are to adopt a Lazio/serie A approch to ultra fanaticism and protest at the training ground, I am afraid this will always be the case.
The club and the fans will remain long after the board/coach/players are gone, they are only custodians of our club, currently I feel we are being taken for granted but then again that seems to be the role of the Hull Fc fan.
