On Tyson Gamble I'm sure he can play hooker and will have been coached by Hodgson at Wests.

Connor
Hoy
Trueman
Gamble

As a spine for next season? If the Walker deal works out too, we've got plenty of options for next season.

Plus Lovodua and Balmforth

It'd be a night/day difference compared to this season

So much for Pearsons article today in HDM backing Hull Fc youth Players
As you say if its only for a couple of weeks then give the Hull lads a game
Shows how desperate the club is for a win on Saturday.
Another big score loss and Pearson will definitely do the after match interview a la Radford

The way I see it is this. Blooding young kids is something you have to get right. The way to do that is to bring them in to cover the odd first teamer whilst there are still plenty of experienced players around them to help and mentor them. Throwing them into an already down on their luck side is going to do more harm than good and I'm kind of glad they aren't being thrown to the lions like that

PS, we play Sunday

Yes i agree with that but the point i was making is the club have brought in three young reserve players from other clubs on a reported two week loan to cover us whilst we get Mau,Sao,Mitch,Evans and Johnstone back.
They have a short time to train with us and get to know our systems before the game at the weekend and have little first team experience apart from Walker so they are not classed as seasoned professionals which if they were may have helped us.
So my question was is it worth it for two weeks and are they going to be any better than our own young lads who at least know our systems.
I can see the argument from both sides but again you have to ask the question of Hodgson if our own youngsters are deemed not ready for the first team at the moment and Balmforth who looks ready but for some reason played in the reserves tonight then whats the point of including several in the 21 man squad when you know they are not going to be given a chance

Simm has played eighteen times at first team level and comes from a winning environment. Saints have told him he is free to leave so he is also looking to earn a SL deal at Hull or elsewhere.

I know some people were wanting to see Litten, Barron, Walker, Severs, Balmforth, Staveley and Laidlaw all playing but that was never going to happen and nor should it. All the talk of "oh people won't mind if they get beat as they'll put the effort in" would soon be forgotten if we shipped forty to Rovers and God knows what at Wigan.

They've been named in our 21 man squads recently as Hodgson had no choice given we were down to our last 22/23 players.

I think Walker is here till the end of the season. Sure thats what the Leeds press release said.

The Simm deal is an initial 2 week loan deal then reviewed weekly, but he's down the pecking order at Saints now and doesn't have a deal beyond this season. I think he's ours to keep if he's half decent.

Matt Shaw seemed to think Longstaff doesn't have much of a future at Wire, so maybe another dress rehearsal for next season.

We might see Barron, Litten et Al debut this season, but I don't think chucking debuts out to 3/4 academy lads for a derby is the way to go. Especially when we're in the hole we are. If our form was different who knows?

Reece Walsh has joined the Broncos. He's a fullback but long term I'd imagine they see him at 6. Not good news if your Tyson Gamble

Bonaire I think the difference is the lads brought in do have a lot more super league experience than litten etc idove to see our young lads put in, but does make sense bringing these 3 in especially if it's a try before you sign.

I like you am scratching my head over Balmforth who I do think is more than ready, surely Hodgson can see Houghtons on the wane, his distribution and attacking threat have evaporated.

The other I'm scratching my head at is Stavely who's also very highly rated, it just seems the obvious spots in the team we have injurys or are lacking in such as hooker and loose forward we have 2 big prospects who seem ready but arnt getting much of a chance.

That's the frustrating part, I think Litten, Barron and a couple of others arnt far off but not quite ready

Watched Gamble a few times this year, I like him, not the most naturally talented, but makes up with effort, think Brisbane have won every game he has played.

Fans really like him, think he would do well in SL.

Think we need a Hoy type player more though.
