When a player would rather stay at Leigh after being offered 300k+ you have to take a look at how far we have a fallen.

Don't think there is any fans who seriously thought he would sign, particularly with it dragging on, still disappointed, but glad it's over and we can move on. Suspect the club have known for a bit and already looking for a halfback, that we desperately need.

Was told it was genuinely close at one stage until Leigh came back with an improved contract and most likely captaincy for next season. Just been played for fools like we did with Lam Snr

I'd bet Leigh will have matched it, or close to it or ge would have left.

He is worth every penny IMO, good move by Lams agent and in the end a good move by Leigh getting one of the best players in SL on a longer deal.

Yep, the form he is in, there's no way they could afford to lose him, particularly with the quality they are losing.

Also has an NRL clause in there by the sounds of it, maybe we didn't have that clause in his offer.
