Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I don't remember anyone ridiculing the idea of playing Griffin in the second row, just your persistent criticism of a player who has served us really well in the centre since he joined us.

Bring your calculators to East Hull next week folks because I think our scoreboard may struggle to keep up.

I doubt it. You beat the team above us last time you played at home and have already beaten us on your patch this season. Rovers strong favourites imo and it could be a long night for Hull fans

100%. Plus
AP is bricking it about the Derby income loss so we'll be under orders to chuck it.
Smith is a top coach
Toughest turnaround in the competition for us, 5 days following a trip to France.
Talisman Kelly injured
Rovers have Garbutt and McGuire back - at full strength in fact, and Parcell arriving this week in a stunning timely boost.
Rovers absolutely desparate to get off the bottom, whereas we are sat on a four point cushion.
If we could keep it to a reverse of the Good Friday score that would be decent night's work.

Even Rovers diehards like me have to admit that Hull FC were brilliant tonight I really do think so.

It wasn't that Catalans went into the game half hearted they were giving it a good go and only after they had been outplayed and beaten did the energy levels drop. The Kelly/Connor/ Naulago combo was almost unplayable and it's not like the other edge wasn't half bad either.

Maybe with 3rd place tied up you can take a breather? Hey I'm not saying you will have a walk in the park next week Rovers have been extremely gutsy in the previous home games under Tony Smith but there's no denying that if it comes down to quality you have the edge.

Things can change a lot in a short time as you know better than anybody but at this snapshot in time Hull FC are the form team in Super League.

Fair post, but the point around 3rd place tied up is obviously complete and utter garbage. Several disadvantages coming up for us. Tight turnaround to the derby, which I think you will win for all the reasons already cited. We still need to play Saints twice. And we are disadvantaged vs all the chasing pack as we have a cup semi final as a distraction. I'd imagine that 24 points is enough to avoid the drop, which is obviously all teams' first and most basic ambition, but so many twists and turns yet to come from teams all desperate to make the 5 or avoid relegation.

I think there will be a few more twists and turns in the relegation battle, but as a black and white it’s good to see KR and Leeds battling for the wooden spoon.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Great all round team performance but a guy that has really taken some stick from some quarters since he signed for us, Josh Griffin I thought was immense today. Strength, speed and power and highlight was steaming through Tomkins on his way for a try.
What is very noticeable is the amount of tries we are able to score from distance.
Thought Buchanan looked good too and supported the play well and got a deserved.
Think Carlos even fit may have to wait a while to get back in.
We look so much more of a threat when we pick up the pace with quick ptb’s.
Full credit to all involved today
